We all know that being a touring rock and roll band isn’t easy, and it isn’t cheap. We also know it isn’t possible without our fans! Day after day the guys in Motortrain load their gear in and out of their trailer to play for fans in every city and town they can reach. Now that trailer is turning into a constant source of feedback from fans like you!

How YOU can help!

Motortrain is currently raising money for the spring tour and festival season (including the annual Rocklahoma campground party) by selling space on their trailer walls for YOU to place your message to the band! For just $20 we’ll dedicate a 12″x12″ space to you for any message you’d like written inside the gear trailer for the band to see EVERY time they load their gear! Spaces are limited, so get yours now! For an extra $5 we’ll put your message inside the door, which displays to everyone outside the venue during load in and out!

Southern Rock Band Motortrain adds Guitarist

Posted in News on October 21st, 2013 by PressTeam

In a tiny dive bar in Fort Smith, Arkansas on Saturday Oct 19th a big unannounced change happened: Motortrain introduced a fifth member. Long-time roadie and guitar tech Sam Blossom took the stage as an official guitar player in the band and the crowd went wild!

Sam Blossom is a small-town guy who grew up in Westville, Oklahoma; a one square mile town with 75 churches on the newspaper’s roster and one blinking stoplight. His long hair and heavy metal passion made him an outsider in the otherwise conservative place so he turned to guitar to find his voice and his purpose. That’s what got him in the door when he came asking for a spot in the Motortrain team. For two years he’s hauled gear, drove the van, and paid dues. He’s also seen the country, partied with some serious musicians, and honed his already impressive chops. Sam has also been quietly contributing to Motortrain’s upcoming self-titled full-length release alongside existing members Red, Bigz, Sig, and Ump but the time to be quiet is over. With a Les Paul plugged into a Marshall JCM900, Motortrain gave one of their best performances to date!

When asked how Ump feels this change affects the band, Ump had the following to say: “Red’s got this great country style swagger that bends and pulls in a Johnny Thunders sort of way, where adding Sammie brings in this technical speed and range that you get from the more modern rock bands. Somehow the two together just work and it’s something we should have done a long time ago. It gives us a more complete sound, and frees me up to just do solos and bring an even bigger performance to the live show.

Motortrain Now Booking for Fall and Winter

Posted in News on September 19th, 2013 by PressTeam

September 19, 2013 – WESTVILLE, OK – Southern rock band Motortrain is currently booking fall, winter and spring tour dates.

Often labeled as a “lifestyle band for the blue-collared”, Motortrain fits well with bands like Blackberry Smoke, Jackyl, Rhino Bucket, Junkyard, and Black Stone Cherry. Their songs are a combination of country-style lyrics backed by a hard-driving rhythm section and ripping guitar solos.

Over the years Motortrain’s reputation as a live party band has given them the chance to perform with acts like Texas Hippie Coalition and the Supersuckers, and made them a hit in the festival and rally scene. They’ve been the featured download in Classic Rock Magazine, a featured artist on both CountryMusicNewsBlog.com and PureRockNews.com, and received steady rotation on the internationally syndicated Hard Rock Nights radio show as well as other local and internet stations.

Please contact booking@motortrainmusic.com or http://facebook.com/motortrainband with your booking requests.

Pardon The Dust

Posted in News on February 22nd, 2013 by PressTeam

Well folks, looks like we haven’t updated the blog here in about a year so we’re gettin to it. I guess if we were meant to be web guys our music’d sound a whole lot different though. Instead we’ve been out playin shows, workin on new tunes in the studio, and even auditioning drummers. Yeah, Levi had to check out and work on a few things of his own, but luckily Allen “Bigs” Myrick stepped in and we’re cookin’ with Crisco now.

There’s another guy up on stage with us once in a while too… that’s Sammie. He’s our roadie but as it turns out he can play a pretty mean guitar so like all roadies, he pitches in where he fits in. Anyway, that’s it for now, but stay tuned cause we’ve got some pretty big news comin up.

Oh! I almost forgot! We now have a mobile app, so get us on your smart phones and tablets if you want to stay up on the minute to minute progress of our livers and live shows! You can download the app at http://www.reverbnation.com/motortrain/app.
