Motortrain Says Goodbye to Drummer Allen “Bigz” Myrick

In a statement released Friday June 13, 2014, southern hard rock band Motortrain announced the departure of drummer Allen “Bigz” Myrick. Myrick joined the band in 2012 and has toured extensively as well as recorded on several tracks.

“Ladies and gentlemen, friends and family, they say all good things must come to an end. Unfortunately this is true. Saturday, June 14 2014, ol Bigz is playing his last show. It’s been a hell of a ride, and thanks to Motortrain for givin me the opportunities I have had over the past year and a half. I am gonna miss playing rock n roll with you fellas! Met a lot if great bands traveling with these guys, and a lot of great people, you all rock, and I hope to see ya on your way through sometime! Although I am saddened by leaving, i do have two Rocklahoma appearances to be proud of, I don’t live near or work with anybody else who can say that.” ~Bigz

In the world of music times change, things change, and people change. We know Motortrain has seen its share of changes as well. As we evolve into this next chapter of our career we wish Bigzie the very best, and hope you do the same. We’re going to send him off with one hell of a party tomorrow night at Downtown Lounge Tulsa. Come out and show him your appreciation for all the hard work and great talent he has shared with us all! ~Ump
